Why do we take portraits?

Back in 2012 I was working and living in Australia and chatting with a relative who in her 90 years had toured the world in a VW Campervan (before it was the cool thing to do on Instagram). I asked her what was the most amazing place she’d visited and she answered the question - “the Congo, the eyes of the people there were so beautiful”.

I realised then the potential power of capturing people in photography and film. I’d love to help capture your story.
